SPRING to HEALTH workshop

I will be co-teaching an afternoon workshop with @eddiestern the founder of Ashtanga Yoga New York, one of the first yoga schools in NYC. We will be covering the liver and gallbladder, organs associated with the spring time, and how certain breathing practices, postures and food will help to cleanse these vital organs. I will cover macrobiotic principles of these organs and teach simple recipes to cleanse the liver and gallbladder. Eddie will be covering breathing techniques and some primary postures that do the same. In yogic philosophy, diet and postures always complement each other
Workshop will include:
- Learning to massage visceral organs; the benefits of massage; where the organs are located, and how they function from a macrobiotic perspective.
- Primary series poses and breathing exercises that correlate to the health of the liver and gallbladder
- Hands on cooking class packed with theory of balance, eating seasonally to nourish your mind, soul, activities and goals.
- Easy to cook recipes for the spring time
